Advance care planning (ACP) is the process of thinking about what matters most to people in life and what that means for health and personal care choices. ACP helps people share their wishes and preferences with the people who are important to them (Advanced Care Planning Canada, 2024). During this session, participants will learn about ACP and explore their role in supporting clients to engage in the process. Tools that can be used as part of ACP will be shared, along with real-life examples of how the material can be applied to day-to-day work. Participants should expect to have their cameras on, complete poll questions, be ready to share situations that they have experienced with clients, and participate in small group discussions.

interviewing can be a critical tool used to help inspire and support change.
Assertive engagement, the cousin of MI, can be useful when/if change is not
happening and there are concerns of harm. This three hour webinar covers the
basics and practical applications of MI and AE. Topics covered include: an
introduction to MI and AE; principles; application; simple tools; and,
preparing and practicing the application.

It would require pre-course work from your participants and
a full day of in person training.
You would need an appropriate room with a screen for the

has been designed for providers in an effort to highlight the unique work
environments that are considered routine for those who serve in our Canadian
