Description [EN]

Motivational Interviewing is an approach to counselling that helps to support people explore the idea of change and connect with their own sources of motivation.  It’s a way we can engage with those who are struggling with issues and circumstances that present barriers to contemplating and committing to change. M.I. is goal-oriented and client-centred, it gives people the opportunity to identify and work through what keeps them stuck despite their deep knowledge and best intentions.

This workshop will help you and your clients understand the factors that determine readiness to change, identify their level of readiness and set counselling goals accordingly. It will provide you with a framework for counselling that allows you to meet them where they’re at and collaborate with them on their journey.

This program is presented by: Dr Steve Hotz
