Judy McDonald has authored books on mental preparedness for high-risk professions within medical services, protective services, public safety and human-resource management. She has designed a framework for operational readiness based on work with Olympic athletes. She has recently studied front line workers in Ottawa's homelessness services and with a Think Tank from this community - developed a model for skills needed in this challenging environment
