This is a two hour program from 9:30 - 11:30. Old Age Security: Canada’s supplementary pension that is residence-based with different criteria than the Canada Pension plan and with an emphasis on a minimum guaranteed income for low-income seniors. This is part of an information series that will include other two hour presentations on: 1. Canada Pension Plan: We will discuss the eligibility criteria’s of CPP, how to apply for it and receive the benefit, and the various other CPP benefits such as Death, Survivor, Survivor’s child benefit. 2. Old Age Security: Canada’s supplementary pension that is residence-based with different criteria than the Canada Pension plan and with an emphasis on a minimum guaranteed income for low-income seniors. 3. Canada Pension Plan Disability Benefits: A benefit within the Canada Pension Plan that provides support to a contributor and his or her family when he or she has a severe and prolonged disability. 4.Employment Insurance for employers and employees to know how to navigate the system and apply for various Employment Insurance
