Learning Objectives: a.) Understand the connections between women’s experiences of violence, mental illness and substance use addiction b.) Know how to apply the principles of trauma informed care to assess, manage and intervene effectively with women who experience violence, mental disorder, and substance use. c.) Become aware of community resources to assist women who experience violence, mental health and substance use. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Women’s Mental Health Series is a partnership between CCB Training & The Royal Ottawa. A "Women’s Mental Health Series Certificate" will be given at completion of the following five programs: 1. Trauma Informed Care 2. Eating Disorders 3. Concurrent Disorders in Women 4. Women’s Mental Health through the Life Cycle 5. TBD - depending on your evaluations & expressed needs
