Facilitating Groups with Confidence: Practical Skills for Engaging, Inclusive, and Effective Group Facilitation

Whether you facilitate life skills programs, support groups, psychoeducational workshops, community meetings, or tenant engagement activities, strong group facilitation skills can transform the participant experience. This interactive workshop is designed for both new and experienced facilitators who want to build confidence leading groups while creating spaces where participants feel respected, included, and engaged.

Participants will explore the stages of group development, the core qualities of effective facilitators, strategies for encouraging participation, and practical tools for navigating common challenges such as conflict, silence, emotional conversations, disruptive behaviours, and competing needs.
