Supporting
people through housing instability, trauma, mental illness, substance use, and
complex life circumstances requires compassion, persistence, and deep human
connection. Yet many frontline workers find themselves carrying
responsibilities that were never theirs to hold, blurring boundaries, feeling
emotionally depleted, or questioning whether they are doing enough.
This engaging workshop explores how to remain deeply caring, ethical, and effective without slipping into over-responsibility or burnout. Drawing on the work of Vikki Reynolds and evidence-informed approaches to sustainable practice, participants will learn practical strategies for creating healthy boundaries, staying connected without becoming overwhelmed, and strengthening the collective supports that allow helping professionals to continue doing meaningful work for the long term
