Compassionate Support of Clients with Advanced Illness

This training is offered by the Champlain Hospice Palliative Care Program. After this session participants will be able to describe:

 

1. Five elements to consider when providing compassionate support through a palliative approach to care of clients with advanced physical illness

2. The difference between a palliative approach to care and end-of-life care

3. Community resources for clients that have unmet needs

4. One strategy for self-compassion that front-line workers can use after the session
