Harm Reduction: This presentation will provide a
comprehensive overview of the Harm Reduction Services offered by Ottawa Public
Health, aimed at supporting people who use drugs and those involved in sex
work. We will explore both fixed-site services and mobile outreach programs
that ensure these critical services are accessible throughout the community.
Additionally, we will highlight the collaborative work with various partner
agencies across Ottawa. These partnerships allow us to expand harm reduction
services and improve community health outcomes. By working together, we strive
to create a supportive network that reduces harm and enhances the well-being of
vulnerable populations.
Infectious Disease: TB and iGAS: Clinical Presentation (S&S, infectious
period, etc.); Rates in Ottawa (2022-2024 to date)

treatment)
Infection Prevention and Control Unit team will present with
the IDP team
Infection prevention and Control topics for common
infectious diseases of interest: IPAC for resp season, invasive group A strep;
Scabies and lice; IPAC for pest control – bed bugs and rodents
Healthy Growth & Development Team: Common issues HGD
Staff encounter when supporting families in vulnerable housing situations as
well as resources available to them in Ottawa. Review support HGD provides to
families who are facing health concerns of social challenges. Provide an
overview of Health care resources available for families without access to a
Primary Care Provider with a focus on newcomers.
Mental Health, Addictions and Substance Use Health:
According to a 2021 report, many Ottawa residents wanted to
talk to someone about their mental health but didn't know who to reach out to.
This presentation will provide an overview of many of the Mental Health,
Addictions and Substance Use Health resources that are available to Ottawa
residents and will provide guidance on how to find other, populations specific
resources.
