Practice-Based Session on Trans Inclusion

Description: Moving from theory to practice is a common struggle in the implementation of trans inclusivity. While we grow our understanding of trans identity, that doesn’t necessarily improve our confidence or competence in supporting trans and gender diverse service users. This session will focus on practice-based learning and problem solving, intended to help participants bring concepts of inclusion to life in practical work-related contexts. Learning Objectives: • Build skills to intervene and address instances of homophobia, transphobia and other forms of oppression or discrimination. • Expand problem-solving skills with a lens to 2SLGBTQ+ and trans inclusion, to enable nimble application of core values to a range of different situations.
