In this session, we'll talk about two different topics related to the senior population. The first topic will be around sexually expressive behaviours that are seen with people living with dementia. In this section, we will talk about the reason these behaviours occur, what the behaviours look like, and what professionals can do to support these clients. For the second topic, we will discuss how to assess suicide in seniors. In this section, we will talk about the difference between suicidal thoughts, intent, and plans. We will also discuss what professionals can do in these different scenarios and what resources can be utilized in different situations to assist clients with safety during these difficult times.
